Volunteers enhance their knowledge, attitude and skills to develop their understanding of a specific area by partaking in group activities, discussion and information exchange.&amp;nbsp;The SIGs is managed by A Coordinator, who is appointed by Yayasan Salam Malaysia/SALAM. He or she is responsible for maintaining a list of active volunteers, publicising in the Salam's Bulletin and enforcing the policies outlined on this document as well as acting as main support for the SIG.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Based on our Volunteer interest , Salam in Sarawak create 4 Special Interest Group namely ;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;1. SIG Environment&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;2. SIG Technology&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;3. SIG Reader&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;4. SIG Health&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;What is Our activity ?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;The type of activities is defined by the group itself. It may include the followings :&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Symbol;"&gt;·&lt;span style="font: normal normal normal 7pt/normal 'Times New Roman';"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;A discussion group about issues that affect the area of interests ( eg on Environmental : &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Symbol;"&gt;·&lt;span style="font: normal normal normal 7pt/normal 'Times New Roman';"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;A group activities that promote group project in the community &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;How ?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Each SIG will have to elect one of its members to lead their group. He/She will assist by 2 other member who act as recorder and treasurer. The main duty of the Team Leader is simply&amp;nbsp; :&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l2 level1 lfo2;"&gt;Helps team members to      identify their unique abilities and talents and then seeks to provide the      environment, resources and opportunities that will enable them to use      their special abilities to experience meaning from their work and      contribute to team goals.&amp;nbsp; The      leader recognizes that work can be a desirable and meaningful activity and      that people seek to derive fulfilment, purpose and joy from their      employment situation.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;To accomplish this, the leader finds ways to blend the needs of the organization with the higher level needs of team members.&amp;nbsp; The leader takes an active interest in each person in the group and strives to build positive relationships with team members and among team members.
